(10:30am)

Jada's fever has stayed down for several hours now. She seems to be a little better, but it comes on waves with her tummy ache. She blasted out of 5 diapers now this morning and I hate to tell everyone it has been awful...but they say that is the infection working itself out or at least showing itself through her stools. But, needless to say she is feeling some better after the relief =) We will update as soon as we know anything on her labs or have cultures back.

February 25, 2008

(8pm)

Fever starting to climb again, we seem to teeter-totter between 99-101. something. So infection is still present. We are just waiting to see if the cultures grow out. So, we will update as soon as we know anything new.

(6pm)

Woke up from nap. Fever is down to 37.4. Watching Cars and waiting for our dinner to get here. Spaghetti O's, string cheese, french fries, and apple juice.

(5pm)

Well Jada's temprature went back up to 38.1 (c). We gave her some tylenol and she went down for a nap soon after. She still has diarehha (what a mess!). We are still wating for news regarding her bacteria cultures. She has a pretty swollen face right now from a lot of fluids, and crying. However when she is awake she is constantly trying to convince us that she should be down and running around. She thinks her bed makes a pretty fun trampoline. We have watched Chicken Little and Cars. SERIOUSLY HOPING that we can be home by wednesday so we can celebrate her 2nd birthday at home. We are also running an antibiotic several times a day to hopefully kick this bacteria/infection that she has. Liver numbers still look really good.

February 25, 2008

Quick update...I am running in the house to grab Chicken Little, Cars, Rattatoule, and about 10 books that Jada has requested. This morning Jada pulled out her IV so we had to get a new on put in. Good news is that for now her fever has broke. She is now under 100. Bad news is we still dont know what this is? We have ruled out viral and are trying to find out where the infection is? She is getting some more little spots over her face, but that may be attibuted to more crying today when we put in the 3rd iv. Jada is napping right now. Dont know if i can update this from her room or not? I will certainly try.

We are in the hospital :(

Jada Rose has been admitted to the ICS unit of the hospital after seven hours in the Emergency Room. She spiked a temp of 102 yesterday and her stool became light yellow. This with the rash mentioned below are tall tell sighns of rejection! We were almost sure that was what had happened. Well fortunately her liver numbers look good. Unfortunately this means she has something that is really giving her body a reason to react! Scary stuff. After three blood draws, two iv's one cathader, one nasal throat culture, two chest x-rays, and little eyes that were swollen shut from crying they gaver her a wide range anti-biotic and she is admitted to the ICS unit. She was starting to fall asleep when I left the room at 3:00 am. I HATE seeing that little girl arch her back in pain! I used to have to see it when they re-inserted her feeding tubes back in the day. I hate seeing this little princess in pain! I HATE IT. I hate it. I will update this again as more lab results return with hopefully more answers. I will alsy attempt to outline yesterdays events better when I am not blinded by my tears, and too tired to type.

February 22, 2008

A little over a week ago Andrea and I noticed some little red spots on the back of Jada Rose's neck...hmmm... well her hair is getting a little bit long back there and we thought perhaps it was a hair product that was giving her a reaction. We put some cortisone cream on it and it cleared up...sort of... a few days later she developed the same type of rash on her back, within a day it had migrated to her tummy. All the while we were in constant contact with the on-call Gastro. at Primary Children's. They kept saying the risk to taking her to an emergency room or an insta care was probably not worth what was probably an allergic reaction. We agreed. However after the weekend passed, it did not clear up so we took her in to the Doctor (our family practitioner) He made some calls and did some research. Turns out it was STREP >:-< Well we put her on an anti-biotic and it seems to be clearing up. Usually a fever or sore throat accompanies this sort of strep which is called Scarlatina or Scarlet Fever. Yah this is sounding pretty scary right? Well Jada never showed any signs of a sore throat, and NEVER (we check her all the time) NEVER had a fever. As I was explaining this to Jada's Aunt Teya she mentioned in a jovial tone "Troy Jada doesn't have the same pain threshold that we do, she may have just shrugged what to you and I would be a sore throat"... True. So Jada Rose is now on a 10 day cycle of anti-biotic's, and we are watching her very closely. She never lost a step or showed any other symptoms other than the rash ...Strange eh? It is so enjoyable to be Jada's dad. We are trying to plan a trip to Kauai in a month. As I was rocking her to sleep for her nap today I stared down at that wonderful, healthy, beautiful face, and admitted to myself that there is no scuba dive, no surfing, no beach or activity on this earth that could make me feel as good as I felt with my little girl at that moment. She is such a blessing to us, and we will never forget that.

February 4, 2008

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday. We usually have a large party but decided that because of the sicknesses hitting the area that it would be wise to just have a small get together. We let Jada invite whoever she wanted. Her response... "Troyss?" And so Jada had her best friend Cousin Troy over. Andrea prepared a wonderful taco meal with different kinds of dip, and an amazing desert. We did invite more people but due to sicknesses and snow storms it was just Jada, her two parents, and Troy, and his two parents (Teya and sean). We had so much fun though! These two little munchkin's are starting to become "best est friends" oh sure there is an occasional "Toy Heist" or an "inadvertent backhand" but for the most part each child cant wait to go to the others house to play. Activities that usually involved dad or mom and Jada Rose now MUST include "Troys". Jada loves sitting in a lazy boy and spinning around...however she will no longer spin without "Troys" sitting next to her. We play a game where we heave Jada Rose up onto a bed and she likes to tumble and roll across the bed, BUT now the game cannot be played with out "Troys?"... Troy has Jada thinking she is a natural comedian. He thinks most anything she does is outright hysterical! So if Jada decides to take a book down from the shelf, and drops it on the floor? Well Troy busts a gut. So Jada methodically pulls every book off the shelf and drops it to impress her (one man) audience. Who of course is egging her on with bursts of gut wrenching laughter! The super bowl yesterday was a riot as the end of the game approached and the parents were cheering on their preferred team, these two kids were intent on making sure they celebrated with us! Definition of Cute: Two toddlers (best friends) standing in front of the tv, each doing their own interpretive dance, then a pause, and suddenly they strike a pose arms above their head fists clenched, and diaper wobbling to a brief yet rare moment of motionlessness, as they proclaim YEAAAHHH!!! Then they turn around to find Four adults no longer paying any attention to the game that they were so enthralled with, but rather cheering on the two toddlers who inadvertently "stole the show"... Life is good : )

We have a room just outside of our Ute Room that we designated as the Kids Play/Theatre Room the following pics are taken in there its not difficult to figure out who's mom was snapping these photo's ;-)

Please remember to keep Charlie Cooper in your prayers! He's still in the hospital having a tough time... : (

Charlie Coopers Blog

January 29, 2008

Jada is very healthy and happy right now. However Charlie Cooper Christensen who is the youngest son of our dear friends Rob and Angel is clinging on to life right now in Primary Children's Hospital. He has a very aggressive form of Bacterial Meningitis. As family and friends we are fasting today for him, if you can, please join us in keeping him and his family in your thoughs and prayers. Rob and Angel were so very important to us when Jada was in the hospital as they would often join with my aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas, in spending entire nights with Jada so that her parents could get some rest. His Blog spot is http://www.charliecooperjackjack.blogspot.com/ They are continually updating that throughout the day.

January 4, 2008

I can't believe I allowed almost a month to pass by without an update on Jada Rose! I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have checked for updates only to see there were none. One main reason for my lack of updates was that I was promoted in my job, and no longer work weekends or grave yards! I love it as I am able to spend a significantly greater amount of time with Jada and Andrea. However the new job responsibilities limit my availability to post as regularly.

We had a wonderful Holiday Season! Jada received some wonderful gifts from family and friends. Santa Clause was extremely giving this year as well :) We actually are anxious to see how Jada reacts to Christmas in the coming years. Andrea and I were far more excited for Christmas morning and Jada's reaction to the room full of toys than we were! Oh well practice makes perfect.

Jada Rose is in very good health as of late. In fact she has had two colds and kicked each bug with ease. She is trying so hard to communicate with words now and has A LOT to say if people could just understand the language! :) Her words are starting to be more and more discernable as the weeks go by. She has some definite favorites in the Movie department. When she walks into the house she walks up to the television and says "Teee?" That means turn on the tv. She knows what DVD's are her favorites as well. 5 or 6 times a day she will walk up with the CARS dvd and say "Caass?" Her favorite foods are Popcorn and Gator aid. Her best friends are her Cousin Troy and "Sach" and "Tao" those last two are are Golden Retrievers Tahoe and Wasatch. She absolutely LOVES playing with her cousin Troy. She will walk around looking for him all the time yelling "TOOYYY?...TOOOYYY?".

Jada is such a miracle in our lives and we cherish every moment we have with her! Check back soon for more updates and video!

December 7, 2007

We received news that Jada Rose is invited to participate in a commercial having to do with organ donation. I don't know the exact details of it. I will update the site as soon as more information becomes available. We have introduced the "Puppies" back into the house now! They each received a day at the groomer a bath, and a VERY warm welcome by Jada Rose! She is always begging for them to come into the house. Before Jada was born our dogs roamed the house as indoor pets. Then with the new standards of cleanliness dealing with picc lines, drawing up med's, and lack of time available to clean up after them they were given their own living space in our sun room. We decided now was a good time to re introduce them back! The re-acclimation has not been all smiles however as several toys have fallen victim to the pups as "chew toys". Also Jada is eye level to some fairly violent tails! So there have been a couple of inadvertent tail lashings resulting in some tears. The photos included in the below slide show are of Jada enjoying jumping in on Dad's much anticipated doggie/pillow nap time. She was so cute, she saw her Dad taking a nap on Tahoe and decided it looked too fun not to try! The other photos were taken by her "Nanna Dawny" this evening. Jada cant pronounce Grandma very well yet so she says "Nanna". And there are also some photos of her and her cousin on a play date several weeks ago.

Jada is doing fantastic! Andrea and I are so pleased with how pleasant this little girl is. She is just so fun! We are working on her talking skills right now. Each day her vocabulary is growing more and more. Jada is pretty scared of Santa Clause so we are trying to help her get over that fear. She seems to have overcome that little cold with quite a bit of ease. Jada LOVES to watch the snow fall, and begs to go outside to play in it. We purchased several sleds that she is pretty excited to try.

November 17, 2007

Jada has a bit of a cold right now but she isnt running any fever, and is her usual active self. We have some neat videos we are preparing to post on here of her playing with some alphabet cards and other toys. She is growing very quickly! Her clothes are lasting on average of two months right now! We had an interesting conversation with Jada's Liver Team this week.

Jada's Labs were amazing! Dr. Booke said that there are some experimental cases occuring with children who are a little older than Jada. What they are finding out is their Kidneys are taking a huge beating by the prograff. So they are working on monitoring the actual rejection when and if it occurs? And actually taking these kids off of their prograff completly! Now the prograff in case any of you dont know is the anti rejection medication. This medication makes Jada very suseptible to major harmful viruses and infections such as strep chicken pox, etc. They informed us that perhaps in a year or two ...or three :) Jada Rose with her successful transplant (knock on wood) could be a very good candidate for this. I spoke with a woman in her 20's the other night who had a liver transplant some time ago. She said if she had the transplant earlier in her life she would totally go for this experimental procedure! Kind of exciting stuff! Ok REALLY exciting stuff! Well as the Holidays approach we hope you all enjoy your family as much as we enjoy ours. Love to all! I did submit myself into a contest at the requsest of another family member (thanks Dan) for Kall 700 Sports radio's Utlimate Utah Man. You can view my entry here. There is a cute video with Jada Rose in the end of it. You will need to scroll to the bottom to see my entry.

Halloween came and went with Jada Rose completly healthy and happy! We decided to have Jada Rose be a Super Hero for Halloween! She loves her Superwoman cape so it seemed easy enough. However in hind sight we wish we could have found a pink superwoman costume, because her costume looked so similar to SuperMAN that she suffered several cases of mistaken identity... Perhaps next year will be a princess year? Halloween we went to a couple homes to visit. We caught up with Jada's cousins at the Strand's house, then went over to the Markisiches, Chiltons, and ended the evening at Grandma and Grandpa Aders house. I shot a few minutes of Video and thanks to Aunt Claire we had some cute pictures to put with the video. You can use the following link, or access it through our video page.

October 15, 2007

The weather is beginning to cool off so playing outside has become less and less frequent. We are LOVING every moment we have with this fun little girl! Speaking of Fun Little Girls! We are proud to announce the arrival of Jada Rose's newest cousin! Kathryn Til Peterson! Congratulations Loni and Zak! "Kit" was born on October 10th. 7 lbs and 6 ounces! AND A FULLY FUNCTIONING LIVER!!!! Very healthy pleasant little girl! Little Troy Danny doesn't know how complex his life just became now that the female cousins have doubled their numbers!

Jada Rose is very healthy and running ALL over the place! Her favorite thing to do is play "super hero's" A month ago we put a "cape" on her (it was a blanket tucked into the neck of her shirt). Jada thinks capes are about as cool as it gets! We decided that for Halloween, she would enjoy being SUPER WOMAN! We purchased a costume in its smallest size, but it still needs to be trimmed down a bit. The cape can be worn independantly of the costume and gets PLENTY of use!

This last week Aunt Lynnie and Uncle Bill came up to visit their grandson Issak. We were lucky enough to have them spend two nights with us as they watched Jada Rose and just plain relaxed with us! On Friday night we watched the Utes beat Louisville! Thanks for stopping by to check on our little Super Hero!!!!

September 30, 2007

It has been almost 20 days since we updated Jada's website. Sorry for the delay. We have some pretty cute pictures of Jada taking a ride on her grandparents bear. Jada's athletic prowess is developing very quickly! She has learned to climb virtually everything that is chest high. Her favorite place aside from anything outdoors of course is our Ute Room. It has begun to morph into Jada's entertainment room. Healthwise she is dealing with what seems to be a small cold that we are keeping an eye on. As we near flu season we are gearing up to become fairly recluse. Our plans do include some early skiing lessons. As a former ski instructor I dont necessarily think teaching her to ski at such a young age will help her be any better of a skier, but it does provide a winter recreation out of the house that does not involve "health interviews".

September 11, 2007

Today, Jada Rose, her Mom, and Dad decided it was a beautiful evening to take a hike! So we packed up the puppies (roughly 200 pounds of fur and saliva) into the car and drove 1 mile down the road. Once at Adams Canyon we unloaded the dogs, and hiked up to see the waterfall! Jada had a BLAST! She loves being up in the mountains. The river catches her attention and she is just awe inspired by all the trees, cliffs, and especially her two Golden Retrievers running up and down the trail! We made it to the waterfall by 6:30 pm. We took some pictures, walked around and walked back down to the car. After a long hike, we were pretty hungry, so we drove to Red Lobster and the three of us enjoyed a wonderful feast of Shrimp, Lobster, Crab, and Macaroni and Cheese!

Perhaps the best part of the trip was when we were getting the dogs ready to go with us. We are trying to re-introduce the dogs into our home. The problem is they get very excited when they are in the house and when they see Jada Rose! So the first thing we always say to them is "Down!". For our dogs this command is SUPPOSED to make them drop to the floor. We also give them commands such as "heal" this command tells them to walk at our side, "Place" tells them to... well stay in one place. In this video clip it is obvious what command Jada hears the most of! VIDEO

We also took some photos of the waterfall. Included in this slide show is some photos of Jada lounging in her "princess castle" we keep this castle in the "Ute Room" Lately watching the Utes tends to make Jada ill... So I decided to mount a small monitor in her castle. This monitor plays any DVD she might be in the mood to see (usually Toy Story). The photos look like she is drugged but in reality she is staring up at her movie. Slide Show

HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

On September 4th we celebrated two very important events! Andrea's Birthday (Jada Rose's Mom) and the one year anniversary of Jada Rose's Transplant! We had some people over and gave Jada some new presents to celebrate with. We have video of this event and will post it this weekend. Also tomorrow will be Jada's first ever appearance to a University of Utah Football game! Last week we watched a game and had Jada in the room with some family. During the ONE time the Utes scored :( We all screamed and jumped around! Jada followed suit and began screaming with joy and running around the room clapping her hands! Our cheering turned into laughing at how much enjoyment she got out of seeing us all yell and clap. Hopefully she will have a similar experience at the game tomorrow (with more scoring of course).

Last week Jada sneaked up on me and stole my hat! She put it on and started running around as I chased her! While chasing her I grabbed a camera and took some photo's. Sorry the pictures are not great quality, but I was out of breath from running and laughing!

Jada Rose has been to Lagoon numerous times this summer. Usually it was with her Dad. Because it was just the two of us I did not take a camera with me. However this last week we had Mom, Aunt Teya, Uncle Sean, Troy, Grandma, and Grandpa with us! We had a great time! Jada is still deathly afraid of the Merry-go-round, but LOVES Dracula's Castle and the Terror Ride!...go figure... We also rode twice on Puff a kiddie roller coaster and a few other kid rides. She gets excited seeing the roller coasters and cant wait to get on them, but once she is on them, and they are moving full speed she gets a bit ancy. As you can see from the slide show below her little cousin Troy wasnt quite as keen on the "spooky rides" as Jada was. She loves the Owl that is a animatronic creature speaking at the beginning of the Dracula's Castle. So one picture depicts her enjoying a Capri-Sun while giggling at the Owl. When she is inside she just gazes at all the interesting creatures and has a good time. For some reason blood, gore, and people in masks dont frighten Jada Rose! ...Wonder why? ;) We also have a new video in the Video's link of Jada at the Ocean! She is doing magnificant! In two weeks weather permitting and health permitting Jada Rose will be sitting next to her parents in her new Utah Season seat! The University of Utah has a Mascot that is an Eagle... his name is "Swoop". We are excited to see how she acts towards his antics during the football game. Especially if she thinks a 1983 animatronic owl at Lagoon is so interesting, Swoop should be a barrell of laughs for her!

Jada Rose is now officially OFF sterroids! YEEEAAAA! We are so excited about this! Being off sterroids represents Jada's remarkable progress as well as hopefully minimizing the side effects that come with such a medication.

This week Jada Rose, her Mom, and Grandma drove up to Washington to see some family, and attend a wedding. While in the North East, Jada visited the ocean for the first time and she LOVED IT! Mom rolled up Jada's pants and she was able to run in and out of the waves, giggling with excitement the whole time! When it was time to leave, Jada showed her disapproval by crying and pointing back at the beach as they walked away. Andrea said she didnt want to take her eyes off the ocean until they finally drove inland. This makes us happy as Jada WILL be able to enjoy swimming and playing in the ocean. You may or may not know Jada has been forbidden from swimming in most lakes and swimming pools for a long time due to the risk of bacteria that can be contracted in such environments. Andrea and Grandma Dawny took many pictures and some video of this vacation. When they return home rest assured these highlights will be posted here. As for me (Jada's Dad) I have missed my two girls A LOT! The house has been very lonely with the absense of Jada and her Mom. However, I was able to complete some tasks at home that could not have been done while Jada is in the home.

OREGON SLIDESHOW

July 30, 2007

Ok Jada Rose can now begin to go off sterroids! We are only administering sterroids every other day! It is a VERY good thing to be going off those! It is anticipated that in one more month she will be completly off of them. This can cause her to possibly grow at a normal rate. We have already noticed that her hair is now more thick and abundant than before.

July 14, 2007

This week could be a landmark week for Jada Rose! On Monday she will find out if she can go off the sterroids? I will keep the website updated on this. This would be an amazing feat for her to go off sterroids within one year of transplant. Keep checking in with the website as new a overhall is underway. We have photos' and videos that will soon be available. along wth an updated home page.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMA ROSE! We miss you more than words can describe!

Jada Rose has been simply enjoyable! Her sense of humor continues to catch each of us off guard. She picks the most perfect moments to let the world know she is there. For instance, if the adult who is in charge of watching her starts to pay more attention to the TV than to Jada Rose, she will calmly walk over to the den doors. We have two french doors with glass panes. She will walk into the den and close the door behind her then stare out of the window making little noises implying that help is needed. It is quite an act of faith, as these two doors can't be opened by someone of Jada's stature. This causes the person to cease watching the television and go to let her out. As you approach her, she gets this mischievous grin on her face. Just as you open the door she darts around to the other side of the den behind thedesk so you have to go catch her, all the while giggling with satisfaction! We had one of Dad's friends (Kevin) staying over the weekend, and every night at meal time it was a competition between Kevin and Jada to see who could get the other to laugh the hardest! The end result was usually Kevin being the victor and Jada dropping the contents of her mouth onto her lap as she couldn't hold the laughter in anymore.

On Tuesday Jada, and her family all went to watch the fireworks at Eaglewood Golf course! She loved virtually every minute of it! We were joined by Aunt Claire and Cousins Amberlee, and Dan. Jada's favorite parts were running across the driving range with all the kids, and playing with several different "glowing toys" that were purchased while waiting for the sun to set.

A special Thank You to: Lindsay, Marie, Mat, Sven, Kim, Sharon, Jen,
Amberlee, Colleen, Andrew, and Erika for signing our guest book this month! We look at it often and so appreciate knowing that you are out there and assisting us with your watchful eyes, and thoughtfull prayers.

June 21 , 2007

We have recieved labs for Jada this month and she is doing great! Her health is near perfect. Life is surprisingly normal right now. Jada Rose is running all over the house trying to get into EVERYTHING! We are finally finishing up with our re-modeling and are looking forward to a quiet enjoyable summer. We have officially invested in a third University of Utah Football season ticket for Jada Rose! We dont know if her attention or interest will keep her captive and enjoyable for the 3 plus hours? But are quite certain that this will be a venue she will grow to love as much as her parents do. This last week Jada Rose went to Hogle Zoo with her cousin Issac and Aunt Tracy. It was a short trip though due to the heat and a unusually tired Jada Rose. We will go back soon. Please do us a favor, when you visit, take a moment to sign into Jada's guest book. We LOVE seeing who still checks up on us. Love to all.

Thought it might be kind of interesting to see what we were doing exactly one year ago. Amazing what changes can occur in the space of 365 days!

Tuesday June 20, 2006

The last week has been pretty uneventful. I have taken several visits to Grandma Roses house. I am catching on to the art of smiling, and have some pictures to prove it. Be sure to look at some of my photo's. Tomorrow I am going to have my next weight checked. You can look at my progress on my TX section under weight and labs. Last week I had some labs done, and everything was elevated. Daddy will update that as soon as he can. Lately I am having a little more discomfort. I am going to go in and get checked for ascites, it is related to the liver having a build up of scar tissue and the difficulty that creates for the blood to flow through it--the back up results in increased pressure and fluid tends to seep through the cells and collects around the liver instead.

Wow she was so sick! We sure miss those trips to Grandma Rose's house. The smiling continues with laughs, and all other wonderful emotions. We are so thankful to have our Jada Rose still with us and in such good health. We are also thankful for the trials and tears that remind us just how precious life is and how important it is to enjoy it with those you love!

June 10 , 2007

Last week Jada Rose recieved yet more permission from the Liver Clinic to attend Lagoon! We had a great time! We were joined by cousins, Aunt Teya, Uncle Sean, and Grandma and Grandpa Aders. Jada was able to ride several rides and TRIED to walk the entire park. We kept her confined to her stroller as much as possible. The only stipulation is that she still cant go to any pools or water parks. We knew this rule would still be in place and wont be lifted any time soon.

We have been finishing up re-modeling our kitchen. Yah it has taken over 3 months! Hopefully this week it will be completley over. Also this week Mom will be going to girls camp for a large portion of the week. Dad is looking forward to spending several exclusive daddy daughter days with Jada Rose. Jada's health has been very stable (knock on wood). We are just enjoying every moment with her. She isnt saying many coherent words yet but is putting together some interesting words of her own. She is VERY good at identifying any dog as saying "daaahhh-ggggiee!". She also can call out "Maaahh-meee" and "Daaahh-deee". Her bruises and bumps from falling are starting to become less frequent as her balance improves. We hope to have more pictures on soon. Thanks for checking in!

May 30 , 2007

Today Jada Rose received permission from the Liver Clinic to go to the ZOO!!! So as soon as Dad had the ok he packed Jada Rose up and they were OFF! On the way we stopped to see if Troy Danny (who was being watched by his Aunt Loni) wanted to join us? OF COURSE THEY DID! So here are the pictures we took of this fun day! For the record we purelled 50 something times and applied sunscreen 6 times...in the space of about 3 1/2 hours! What a blast we had though!

Last Sunday we went over to Aunt Claire's and Uncle Bob's for Sunday Dinner. Aunt Claire took some cute pictures and those can be viewed here. The First two photo's are #1 of Jada's cousin's Amberlee and her husband Dan. The second photo is of Aunt Loni and Uncle Zak. The rest need no introduction

May 16 , 2007

We are having so much fun with Jada Rose right now. It is amazing to us how much more personality we see from this little girl now that she is walking. We are finishing some re-modeling at our home so we are staying at Aunt Loni and Uncle Zak's house. Jada's favorite past time is trying to get 'Moki' Loni and Zak's dog to play with her. Moki is such a sweet heart. She is very respectful around Jada Rose and refuses to play rough with her. Jada works extremely hard at trying to get Moki to play. Jada's Dad was playing with Moki by putting his head down and Moki would 'play bite' him. Moki would get very excited and start running around chasing Jada's Dad. Jada observed this and soon after was seen on her hands and knees trying to head butt Moki! It was so cute seeing Jada doing any thing she could to get Moki's attention. Still Moki would not play rough with her...Great dog. Today Troy Danny came over and played with Jada Rose for a few hours. He still isnt walking, but does his best to crawl with Jada's actions. He doesnt quite know how to play 'Monster' with Jada and his Uncle Troy. 'Monster' is a game that Jada and her dad play by using a large blanket draped over Dad. Then Dad sneeks up on Jada and vise versa. The game always culminates with Jada in the monsters belly laughing hysterically. Troy Danny was a bit worried at seeing his beloved cousin devoured by a large walking blanket! We will teach him though. Jada has been healthy and vibrant. Hopefully (prayerfully) this continues. We also are enjoying the outdoors walking and playing. Its hard to believe that one year ago we were taking walks with an umbrella over our heads and trying to maintain a feeding line!

May 8 , 2007

Last week was a tough one! Jada was in the hospital with a bad tummy flue! However she came home the same day after getting some IV's, and is doing FANTASTIC! Mommy and Daddy are on vacation in Mexico so Jada Rose is staying with Grandma Dawny, and Grandpa Nolan this week. Click here for some great photo's of her having a GREAT TIME AT GRANDMA's and GRANDPAS

We have started puting videos of Jada Rose on her web site. You can click VIDEO here or go to it from the home page. Good Luck! I am experimenting with several different formats right now and it may be confusing to view them. The video titled Jada's 1 year video is the 23 minute video we played at her Birthday party. The other ones are more simple and should download easier.

Jada is doing great right now! We can hardly contain her! Tomorrow we are hopefully going to the Red and White game. We will have to keep an eye on the weather.
